Tuition Fees
Tuition for the TESL Certificate Program is $935.00 Canadian or its American dollar equivalent. For example, on November 2, 2010, tuition was equivalent to $948.00 U.S. dollars. Payment to Worldport ESL may be made by international bank transfer or by certified cheque or money order in Canadian or U.S. funds. Your tuition payment is due only if you are accepted into the program after review of your application. If you are accepted, your notification of admission status will include a review of your payment options. If you live outside Canada, we will also inform you of currency equivalents based on current rates of exchange.
Refund Policy
If your application is accepted and your tuition is received, the TESL course materials are sent to you by courier. We're certain you'll be pleased with the course. If for some reason you choose not to pursue it, you can return the materials and withdraw. We calculate your refund based on the courier date of your materials. The tuition refund schedule is as follows:
withdrawal
up to 7 days after courier 90% refund
8 - 14 days after courier 75% refund
15 - 29 days after courier 50% refund
30 days after courier no refund
Inclusions
Your tuition pays for training in TESL equivalent to 130 hours, and includes the learning pack with all course materials, audio tapes for oral feedback, and pre-labelled envelopes for submitting your work. You are responsible for postage to the school, since postage weight varies from week to week with your lesson plan materials. We cover postage back to you. You may wish to do some incidental photocopying for the materials you decide to use in your lessons. The TESL certificate you receive upon graduation is not purchased. It is awarded, as proof of your successful completion of the program.
Be prepared to work! The course requirements are substantial. Distance learning affords you flexibility and independence, but commitment is essential to complete the course properly. In return you'll get ongoing, personal attention from your teacher, support if you need it, excellent TESL training and job help too.
